happy birthday, friend sister!

It was 9 years ago when I met her.

It was firstly in church that we were introduced to each other. My first impression – she’s v shy. The following month, I went to a new school, everything was new for me. And surprisingly, she was in my class, sitting behind me at first but later, the teacher changed our seats but nevertheless, we became friends.

It wasn’t just in school, we met in church every week and our friendship began to grew, and blossom. Soon, we were going to Youth Fellowship together. I remembered vividly that each week, I would call her and ask if she was going to Youth. And she said yes. One of the reasons I kept going was because she was going too. And together we grew more and more in the Lord.

She’s a friend that God has blessed me with. Not only was she one of the prettiest girl in town, she’s humble, friendly and best of all; she has been a great friend to me, till this day. I remembered telling her how guys would queue up from our school till Lutong (kilometres away) because of her beauty and we would always laugh about it…and it was true. She’s a truly beautiful young woman, inward and outward! I am proud to have a friend like you!

I do not believe in fate, but I believe in God’s divine plan for us…and she was definitely an angel that God has placed in my life.

She and this group of friends of her – Huih, Carrots, Jiun, Yin has brought the craziest part of me out. They would always tell me that I was too serious looking. But after a few years with them, I’ve learnt to loosen up and know how to just act crazy! I never knew life in school would be so fun!

Each day I would look forward to going to school because of the time I can spend with them. I wouldn’t miss school for anything….

On this day, I would like to say – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! You mean a lot to me…and thank you so much for the times you’ve stood by me….encouraging me when you didn’t even realised you did.

You should know that every word you said has been a great testimony to me…and your walk with God has greatly challenged me to love Him even more. And your passion for God too has encouraged me to greater heights.

Thank you!

when you’re stuying in Australia

after spm?

time and you

do you feel that your year is passing by faster and faster? it doest seem to be going this fast when you were younger…when you were in school….but why? could it be because we are getting busier…more things to do?

 well, time is relative.

when you are just 10, one year passes by slow…because it is just 1/10 of your life.

but when you are 25….one year is 1/25 of your life…and if you are 50…it is 1/50 of your life…that is why..it seems to be shorter by each year….

i was reading Malachi 3:10-12

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.  I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,” says the LORD Almighty. “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the LORD Almighty.

It was talking about giving tithe (your 10%) to God….and that is the only place in the bible that says… to ‘test me’. Never test the Lord…but here…it says test me..it is to show you..how serious God is with His words…when He says to give your tithe..He means it!

what will He do when you bring in your tithe?

1. He’ll open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings that you will not have enough for it! (vs10). - this do not jsut apply to finances, it includes every area in your life, God will bless!

2.  And He will prevent pest from devouring our crops and make sure that our vines produces fruits (vs 11). In other words..He’ll keep ur money from going missing to unnecessary things…or prevent ur money to be stolen away..

3. and people will call u bless! (vs12).

I believe it applies not only to finances…but also our time…giving our time to God..we’ll see that God will multiply it and prevent it from wasting….

I know, when I give my time to God…by just spending time with Him, reading the Word, praying…I notice that I would have more time to study or I could finish reading what I needed too and it is just incredible! And with God..it is not by additive…it is MULTIPLICATION! God dont just add 1+1= 2..but it is multiply with …..infinity! That is why He said…He’ll pour out blessings so much that we cannot contain!

Well, if you have never given tithe, or have not given….try give and see if God will not open the heavens and pour out blessings onto you!
