bible as your life manual

does the topic sounds too ‘biblical’? makes you think twice before reading the post? well, i was studying….for my peds exam on Sat! and praise God, i manage to cover once. And this is the first time in history that i manage to cover a subject more than once! yay! praise God!!

so, about the Bible - manual of life.

many people think that the what is written in the bible is restricting life. we cant do this, can do that. have to do this, have to do that. It’s not true. Let me set a analog  - you just bought a new camera. And like all new items, it comes with a manual book! Do you think…that the manual book is trying to limit you from using the camera? NO of course! It helps you maximize the usage of the camera! Same with the bible - God gave us His words not to restrict our life but make sure we live our lifes to the max!

In every manual book you have the part where it says - precaution. Don’t do this, or that. Dont expose your camera to water (if it is not water resistant) or dont expose to extreme heat. For one second, do you think that these precautions are there to make your life hard? Or to make sure you miss out the fun in exposing it to extreme heat or water?

hahaha…..someone once told me. Imagine - while walking down the beach, you want to go for a swim, then u saw the sign - beware- sharks in water - do not swim. Well, there is a reason why it is there. Who would be dump to go into the water and swim. The sign is there to save your life! Make sure you get to live longer, and not die because of being eaten by the sharks!

the same thing with the camera - stating that you should not expose it to extreme heat or throw it into the water..etc, it’s to make sure you that the lifespan of the camera is prolonged! It is not to take the fun out of it? And in our life, whatever the law that God gave, it is to make sure we have the best in life. All sin leads to death! Btw, the only commandment we are accountable - Love God with all your heart, with all our soul and with all your might! And love your neighbours!

moving on, one day, you found that your new camera isnt working as it should. it seems like there is something wrong with the zoom. what do you do? Bring it to a camera shop - it might help you only to an extend. Because each camera is customized by the manufacturer - it is therefore wise to bring it back to the dealer/manufacturer. Because the shop might not have the spare part that is needed or they might not be skillful enough. another example i heard - if your car - a Rolls-Royce has some problem. Do you take it to a mechanic beside the roadside? NO way, right? They certainly do not know what they are dealing with! You’ll take it to the authorized mechanic to be fixed.

In our lifes, when we come across hardship, troubles, brokeness, disappointment, lost…what is the first thing we do? turn to family, friends and even counselors! of course, they might be of help to a certain extend too. But nobody knows us as well as our creator Himself! When we come to a cross-road, let us trun to our Creator because He knows the best!

In the end - to make sure that you live your life to the max - turn to the Bible. To make sure you dont miss out the blessings and promises of God - claim them. And if you find any trouble in anything - turn to the author!!
