letting go
how hard can it be to let go? it is so much easier to say than done. that is what everyone says. it’s true that letting go is the best thing to do, not to be stuck in the past and move on….i would be the first to stand up and agree!! i would always say, life is short, no point living in the past or let the past haunt us.
PAST?? what pass i have? i am only 23! haha…well, despite my young age, *ahem*ahem*, there are happy and even sad memories in life, wrong choices and decisions, right ones too that has brought me to where I am now.

it is amazing how one decision will affect our WHOLE LIFE!!!
today, in Shepherd’s meeting..i must admit, i wasnt 100% ready to share about the chapter that we were suppose to be studying…but I believe God has His own creative way to teach His people! So, I went just telling God that, You are 100% in control in this meeting…so, maybe i was a bit ‘harsh’ in the beginning but with good intention…ahhaa…it turned out really good, and Praise to God that it was a great meeting. There were questions and i can see everyone is ready and well equiped with the word of God. all we need to do is to continue to seek God and ask God for a deeper revelation.
today’s meeting really encouraged me even more..to really prepare well next time. The actual problem I was having wasnt not able to prepare, there were just alot of distraction and lies/deception that the evil one is trying to put in my head. And today, I know who I am in Christ and I know my calling, and I know God is with me, is IN me. That is enough for me to go forth and do what I am called to.
erm..i hope i didnt scare nic, fern and the rest. ahaha!!! honestly i had a great time today. even tho there are stil things i am trying to figure out, asking God but it will not cause me to stop serving God. I am glad to be where I am today and I want to grow more in the Words…
oh btw, i think i want to share a video with all of you soon….a pure production of WCCI - multimedia team! We have a GREAT team. I must say, no one can be compared to them! It’s going to be great. They just made this new advertisment for the church anniversary - it was superb!!! Amazing!!!!!!!!! Stay tune……
the Romans kind of love
last week in cell group, we talked about love. LOVE. The theme for our cell group was falling in love with God. So our cell leader asked us what is love. Most of the time, straight away we will think the Corinthians love (1 cor 13). The you will think about God is love. Rarely we will heard about romans kind of love. Let’s now see what does the book of Romans says about love.

Romans 12:9-21
9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”says the Lord. 20On the contrary:
”If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- vs 9 - love must be sincere. love will be able to tell what is good and where love is there is no evi.
- Love is warm and tender. it unites
- Love is humble. It esteem others above himself. Pride is not present in love. Love is able to cause you to associate with other people.
- vs 11 - Love is eager to serve. it does not sit back and wait to be served but love always takes the first step to reach out and show its love.
- love is patience. it waits and endures.
- love isgenerous
- vs 13 0 love is hospitable. it cares for people.
- love does not curse, instead it blesses others.
- love shows itself - it laughs when there is joy, it cries when there is mourning.
- love believes in harmony.
- love does not take revenge.
when i heard this message, i was reminded again about the love of God. I was reminded of my action to others…did i show love to the people around me? not only those who is good to me, but those that do not know me, do i show the love of God. Did i potray God the right way?

last night, one of the point in sermon was about love. One of the mini-point. It says, when you love someone, you will go all out to treat them well, etc. A good example is your girlfriend…if you are going out on a date with her, will you ask her to take a bus and meet u somewhere? or will go and fetch her and go with her? Love will go an extra mile just to show that it is there. If you love her, you will go all the way to her place and pick her up, and go together for lunch or dinner…..same thing with God. God didn’t ask us to come to Him just like tat? God first loved us, He first show us His love by sending Jesus to die on the cross that we may come to Him. God came to us and brought us to Him. That is true love!
The love of God is so great, and just knowing by words is not enough, you just have to experience it and know it in your heart.
updates
it’s been 2 days since i blogged. i feel like deja vu now. Alot of things has been going on lately. Exams to do, case history to finish, projects to complate and life to live. ^^
It’s great that lil’ sis is in KL to attend interview for a scholarship. I guess the family is not really wanting tat much she gets this one but just a good exposure to her. Nevertheless, it’s wonderful to have the opportunity….thanks to her 10A1.
Since last night I have been watching this wonderful Japanses series called Karei-naru Ichizoku(the grand family). It is something different than what I normally watch. It’s by Takuya Kimura (木村 拓哉) whom my friend claims that any Japanese series fan will know him. Haha..He’s the japan icon. Really?

It’s april, and april is coming to an end. Soon, it’ll be may and june - mid year. How fast time flies. Have I accomplished anything in this 4 months?? Have you? I must say, the only great thing is this BLOG. Having my own domain and being able to set it up. It’s great. It’s something I never dream I would ever do. So here I am. Which means a new committment in writing blogs!
I have been wondering lately about a couple of things. Still seeking for answers….
happy birthday, breezy!
happy birthday to a good friend….
look how happy she is!! Her smile can brighten the whole world!! she had a great birthday celebration last night. sorrie, i couldnt be there! Those that are wondering how to make a birthday unforgettable, please visit the link. ahaha!
As a tradition of the ‘cooking group’, we made special dinner for the birthday girl. We started to cook at 3 or 3.30 til 6.30pm. Stood the whole time and now, feeling that my leg has over worked. I am thinking, maybe next time in the operating room, maybe need to stand so long, so, a good training.
Back to the birthday celebration story. In any special occaion, there will be special dish. This time, it’s the meat wrapped in cabbage dish. It’s something I thought of but of course, like always, it didnt turn out the way I imagined it to be but it is nice. Firstly, need to steam the chinese cabbage so it’s soft but cannot over steam it! Then, take the minced meat mixture and wrapped it up, carefully. Then put to steam for 10-15 minutes. Next is to make the sauce. Since the minced meat mixture is a bit salty to taste, the sauce need to be sweet. Pour the souce onto the plate with the nicely arranged meat wrapped in cabbage, and it’s ready to be served!
Next, it’s the roasted chicken. We used this really cool Maggie packet. Very yummy. It almost taste like those roasted chicken you buy from the shop in Msia. If you make it correctly, it might even taste like roasted duck! In this case, we had chicken wings and drumstick and also some potatoes. It turned out really nice!! The potatoes were just right, crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Because it was baked with the special plastic, the moisture from the potatoes was kept, tat it was it was juicy!
Next, a special salad. The second special dish for tonight - tomato, cucumber, cabbage and some roasted bread. Mixed together with some lemon juice, salt and pepper. It’s ready to be served. Just got to make sure the tomatos are fresh and the cucumber too! It’ll be nicer is there is lettuce but it cant be found here so we used cabbage. And since we are not used to eating it raw, we sort of steamed it first. Haha…and we were suppose to add olive oil but it’s too expensive to buy so, just lemon juice. Half a lemon. Very yummy. It’ll be great to add some feta-cheese, but it’ll be greek salad. So, here is a chinese way of preparing salad!
Then we have sambal egg - something we always have because we dont know how to prepare egg. We cant just eat it hard boiled? So, made sambal to go with it. Then there was chicken and vege kurma. Very nice! I can proudly say, I can cook Indian style Kurma. Learnt it from an Indian friend. She taught me and it really tasted so much nicer than the maggie packets that I bought!
I also made 2 BIG pot of crysenthemum tea, and I stil have a big jar left in the fridge. Yummy! It has been a long time since i made it. I used to love making it but now, less free. Haha…but must make it specially for Niny!
After that we had Apple Crisps. Very nice. Hope I learn how to make and I want to go home and make for mommy and daddy! ^^
summer plans
i have a feeling this summer is going to be really fun. not because it is going to be my last summer, because after this summer, next year, it’ll be summer all year thru..ok, confusing? well, long story short, i’ll be graduating soon, in 64 weeks. Approximately there. Maybe a week earlier or later.
Anyway, I thought I am the only one planing for summer, going to places and seeing people, until I chat with my yiyi, I found out, my cousins are going to be travelling too!
An uncertain yet great new, I might be staying over a few days in London before going back home. Yay, which means I can visit the London Tower Bridge and some other places that I didn’t manage to go. Keeping my fingers cross!
Then, will be expecting Jas to come over from NZ. Visiting Xuan for a weekend in the first week of July. Maybe going to genting if the parents allow. Hahaha.., then the Ting’s coming over at the end of July.
The August - the Olympic month!
Monday
oh, what a day! I am so tired, exhausted. But you know what…it’s really nice to be busy!
firstly, class today was CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY. I must admit, I really like pharmaco. It could be because of the names of drugs that I used to memorise 2 years ago, or could it be the pharmacokinetics or affect that a drug has? or do i like it because it so neatly classified into groups? I dont know the real reason too. I find it very interesting. Because one drug can have a certain effect but when you combine it, it may come out another result. And different individual or patients has different diseases and to get the result of your treatment, you need to have the right combo of drugs. So, it’s exciting!
Anyway, woke up by 7am, supposed to wake up at 5 to study for Pyschiatry Exam. Last night, there was a black out at 12.30 so couldnt study late, then went to bed early. Then woke up really tired but manage to pull myself up and read some questions before getting ready to go for class. Walked to class, it’s about 15 minutes walk, very cold today. Ok, not very, but cold. Windy and it was raining.
Then the teacher gave us patients to interview but we were really not into it because need to revise for exam at 1pm. So, we manage to finish class by 12pm and took a trolley bus to the bus stop to take us to Iskra. A land of the mentally diseased. Opps…kidding! It’s just situated so far away that there is a special bus for us to take. Journey there is 20 minutes and it is an isolated place and only 1 public bus goes there. It’s tiring because I need to squeeze because only 1 bus in 40 minutes. So, if alot of people, then, too bad.

Finished the exam by 2.30pm but just when we step out of the hospital, a bus left, so we had to wait for nearly 40 minutes for the next bus, under the rain and cold.
OK, the day didnt end there! It is just half of it! I guess I’ll continue next time.
By the way, last night, I saw this film - Jumper. yay!!! Its another mini dream come true. I’ve been wanting to watch it since I was in Paris. I saw this movie showing in IMAX in Disneyland but no one seemed to be interested to watch so I didnt dare to stay back alone to watch.

Jumper staring Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson and Samuel L. Jackson. Of course lots more but these are the lead actors and actress. A very nice story. I am expecting a sequel because this movie is too short and there is so much they can expand from this 1 and half hour movie.. There are so many part of the movie that the director or writer can expand and make it more detailed and clear to the viewers. More actions and drama. So much more action and more mysteries should be explained like why there are jumpers. Who are they? Is it a genetic thing? And so much more!
