His love

In Shepherd’s meeting…meetings where all the Shephers gathers. Haha..It’s also known as Cell leaders’ meeting. One of the leader was sharing about how much God loves us. It is not something our human mind or logic can ever understand. We might think we are not worth His love, but He says He loves us and period. We can never understand how great God’s love is for us. Not now, tomorrow or days to come. We can understand what we know today, how great it is now, but there is so much more!

Our value, our worth is not what we can determine. Our creator determined how much we are worth and we are priceless to Him. God himself would come down and die for us so that we can be restored to Him.

It is like a carpenter, who made a beautiful chair. Everyone is amazed at it. Day in and out, people will walk by it and praise the chair and the carpenter because of the beautiful handwork. Many days passed and people started to forget about the chair and how once it was so grand. Til one day, the people decided to burn it because it has become simply just an unwanted piece of wood. But the carpenter stepped out and said, ” do not burn the chair, burn me instead, keep the chair”. The chair is so much of value to the carpenter that he would die for it.

The love of God is so much more….He knew our value, our worth, that He choose to come and die for us…to give us a freedom, to save us from the fire, to give us victory in life!

When I think about it, I just cant stop thanking and praising God because of His great love. If you have not experience it today, or ever, just ask because God said, Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find! Today’s sustenance is only enough for today. For tomorrow, you will need to seek God for more. And everyday should be better than the day before!

Spending time with God, reading the word is food to your spirit. It is like us eating, we dont just eat once a week, right? We eat everyday because we will be hungry. And if we dont eat, we’ll be malnutrition and start to become anorexic. The same thing with our spritual life. We need to read the word everyday, pray and spend time in God’s presence. We do not just eat one meal a day to last us a whole day? Or once a week to last us for a week.

anatomy 101

Today, I’ve been told a great news!!! Something that blew me off my seat and really gave revelation on the Word of God. Do you remember, if I told you all before, that the Word of God (Bible) is full of mysteries and wonders? And the words are not just superficial as you think it is. There is always a deeper and greater meaning to every word spoken by God.

Today, a church leader shared something so great to us, about human body. Everyone one studied before that our body is make up of cells, proteins. OUr body is made up of proteins. So, all the cells need to lie down somewhere..like a foundation, right? It is called basal lamina. If we try to arrange something together, and we want to make sure they dont fall apart, we need a something that can hold them together, right? A glue, or string..etc…agree? Well, same with our cells. There must be something that holds our cell together to make them into tissues and organs.

What holds our cells together?? Laminin. here is what I found about laminin.

Laminin is the major non-collagenous component of the basal lamina, such as those on which cells of an epithelium sit. Basically, laminin is a protein found in the “extracellular matrix”, the sheets of protein that form the substrate of all internal organs also called the “basement membrane”. It has four arms that can bind to four other molecules. The three shorter arms are particularly good at binding to other laminin molecules, which is what makes it so great at forming sheets. The long arm is capable of binding to cells, which helps anchor the actual organs to the membrane.

Important substance? My leader had a very funny illustration, he said, if there wasn’t this thing that holds the cell, all the cells in the body will mix up, the kidney cells will be found in the heart, the heart cells will be found in your lungs…the whole body will be like a soup..everything mix together. aaha…that is not the point.

Well, now we know, that laminin holds our cells together, binds the cell together to form tissues and organs and finally us, human body! Aren’t you all excited to see how this great structure that God has created looks like??

Laminin’s molecular structure is a CROSS. Exactly like what was written in the Word of God in Colossians 1:17 And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together). (amplified bible)

I am speechless right now, as I write this post. In Him, all things consist!! In NIV version it says, In him all things hold together. How real is the word of God??? Christ is in us, Christ is in every single cell, holding us together!!!! AMEN!

All I can do now, is PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!

It’s from a sermon by Louie Giglio. Please, take 10 minutes to view this video. it’s less than 10 minutes but it will change your life!!! You think you cant do much with 10 minutes, but God can do great things with just tat small minutes you give to Him. With just a small decision, small thing, God is able to bring a BIG impact to your life!!

p/s:for those sutdying with me, you can ask me to send u the video thru WC.

secret recipe

I remember reading in carrot’s blog, she’s always baking cakes, making pancakes and baking cookies. I so envy her! She has all her ‘friends’ to help her. Is it Andrew? *sorrie, I forgot his name! * Haha, I was talking about her tools to bake. Well, I bought an oven about a year or two ago. And since then, i have bake more than I have ever in my whole life. From orange butter cake to peach butter cake, cheese cakes and tats all that I’ve ever baked! It was all great success, k! Sometimes I feel that I have great talent in cooking! ahaha…*tidak malu!! **

Anyway, after I read what carrots did for her friends, the pancakes, I asked her for the recipe. It was about a month ago. I never got the ingredients ready or time to make. Finally, today, after being disappointed in a couple of things, I decided to make myself happy and make some love pancakes. I followed the ingredients properly and step by step…but it happened that I needed cup. erm…example - 2 and half cup of flour. CUPS??? What kind of cup?? Is it big or small? *puzzled* I decided to use a normal cup and measure everything accordin to it. It was perfect except for my buttermilk, I am 1 cup short! Because I only bought about 250ml. Opps..so, I added more milk instead. Ahaha…sorrie carrots for changing the recipe!

But it turned out very great!!!

Another I found out, I didnt have non-stick pan. The first time I tried making it, it became all mushy and cant even turn it because it was sticking to the pan. BAD! So, I borrowed one from my friend without permission from the owner. Sorrie. I promise to make some for you tmr!

According to Carrots, I am supposed to add some fruits to go with it. Honey or sweet syrups. I went to the supermarket, and the whole market, not a stall has strawberry. Just a few days ago, everywhere there was strawberry and it was cheap!!! rm 12 for 1kg. Where did all the strawberries go??!!! Disappointed again, I went home. Praise the Lord I bought honey a few weeks ago. So, I put in all the stuff that I had.

I made it small because KL thinks it’s really nice. Something she saw in the net. So she thought it might be cute to make the pancakes smaller. And she suggested that I add in prunes when I am making it, but apparently I don’t have. So, I put in raisins and honey.

The creative me suddenly came up with the idea of putting choc topping for this new pancake that I just made. I dont have chocolate but I have milo! A few spoons of milo and a few drops of water - choc paste. It was yummy…sweet! too sweet. How nice if I have strawberries.

to carrots : It was really nice! It was soft and definately the best mixture i’ve ever tried. the recipe’s ingredients were alot…as in, after i mix all of the stuff, it was so much, one whole big bowl. i stil have more than half a big bowl in the fridge. tomorrow and sunday’s breakfast will be pancakes! I was thinking to make some for my friends…so, those that get it tomorrow, it’s because I have all of you in mind! ahaha…ahaha…

I hate shopping when I am disappointed because I’ll end up buying really weird things just to cheer myself up! I bought spinach and bacons! Something I never buy because spinach - expensive. Bacon - I have no idea which is what and how to cook it. But God gave me an idea to cook - spinach & bacon spaghetti. It turned out very well, except that the bacon didn’t taste the way I thought it did. Maybe I should fry it longer for the oil to come out so it can coat the spaghetti better. The spinach was sweet and really fresh. This was my dinner! cool, isn’t it?

Victory Day

Victory Day marks the end of World War II in Europe, specifically the capitulation of Nazi forces to the Allies (the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, France, the United States and other principal Allied nations) on May 8, 1945. It is celebrated in the successor states to the Soviet Union on May 9, because when the German Instrument of Surrender actually entered into force (May 8, 1945 at 23:01 CET), it was already May 9 in the USSR and Eastern Europe.

Therefore, tomorrow is a holiday for me. Again. The whole week has been like a holiday for me and I am sure for most of the students. Yay! A great time to rest. REST??? Well, tonight for cell group, we are having a special program - Pajamas CG night. it’s at 10pm and dresscode is pajamas! ahaha, it’s going to be great! I bought pop-corns and maybe someone will be making Milo! yay!!

Speaking about victory, I just received a sms from a friend that commented her week isnt that great. I know that everyone has ups and downs, storms and tornadoes in their life. Are we called to be conquerors? Yes? No? the answer is NO!! Because we are called to be MORE than a conqueror!! The bible calls us to be more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. We are way above all problems and troubles because of God that is in us. For the One that is in us is GREATER than the one that is in the world!

Do you know that Yahoo! weathers are very accurate? It has been raining for the past 2 weeks…today, the temperature dropped til 2 degrees. Feel like taking out my winter scarf to wear! ^^

Team Medical Dragon - Iryu

I just finished a new japnese series, Team Medical Dragon. I do not have the right words to describe how nicely the series was done. The medical aspect was fantastic and the story line is so encouraging….encourage those that watch it to study better. Especially right now I am having surgery cycle….our surgical department isnt something that we can be proud of…sadly to say. Not because the surgeons or doctors are not good, they are just not very good teachers.

back to the story - Team Medical Dragon or Iryu, has 2 seasons. In the first season, it is mainly on this operation known as Batista. I’ve looked it up and it’s was very informative. At least because of this series I am learning some things. Batista operation is for those patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. Meaning their heart are enlarged. And in this operation, a part of the left ventricle are cut out and the heart is sown back, making it smaller and into a normal size. It gives more opportunity for patients because heart transplantation is hard to get. This operation is also suitable for those who cannot undergo heart transplant or in elderly patients.

I do believe those studying medicine, especially, will enjoy watching. One good thing about it is they explain about each procedure for those viewers who does not understand the medical terms and it does broaden your knowledge in a way or two.

The casts:
Sakaguchi Kenji as Asada Ryuutarou

a word from the writer

Dear readers, it’s been a while since I updated about myself. *guilty*. Well, on May 1st, it was labour’s day, holiday for us and I really had a great rest. Then, the very funny university or country decided to prolong their holiday, so Thursday and Friday were holidays. But when you take a day off, you need to replace it, right? Even in sec school, when they want to have extra day off because of sports day, or PMR exams…or CNY holidays, they have replacements on Saturday. So, the smart university is replacing the Friday holiday on Sunday.

Wow – class on Sunday. Not only class, it’s a working day on Sunday! This is my 5th time experiencing this and normally, I’ll get a big confusion on what day it is and it’s more like a disorientation because Sunday is supposed to be a break, not a working day.

The story doest end just here, on Friday, 9 May, it’s Victory day! It is a European holiday…because victory in WW II, I suppose, or was it against Germany? I remember talking to Carrots (in Germany) that we are having Victory day holiday, last year, and I asked her if she will be having it…if I am not mistaken, she didn’t have because Germany lost! Ahaha…sorrie carrots…haha….*blush*

Anyway, another 2 days holiday, Friday and Saturday…and replacement for Saturday – Sunday is working day, again. But praise God, we manage to negotiate with the teacher and tomorrow we don’t need to attend class. But we need to do 2 topics on Monday. Varicose diease and post cholecysectomy syndrome.

I jsut had a nap, and dreamt of going to London…was in London airport..ahaha…anyway, lots more to plan. More places to go which I have not went too. I was thinking, should i go to Science Museum? For sure I must go London Tower Bridge. Didnt manage to go the last time. Greenwich? 4-Season Duck!!!! Any ideas?
