things that matters
There are a lot of things that can happen in a day. From the things nearest to us till the things that seemed far away or maybe really has nothing to do with us. For example someone didnt win his match today. It is something that happened, affected himself and the people he’s with but us???? If you look into it, it really has nothing to do with us.
I wanted to follow the match between Federer and Simon today but I was too tired and decided to go and have a nap. After I woke up, I totally forgotten about the match until I saw a sms saying that history seemed to be repeating itself. Haha…of course I was a bit sad, just for one moment (one second) but then, in any matches, there are people that win and lost. No big deal.
It does’t matter if
who wins the next match, or if your favourite player lost in a match
or if your favourite artist is getting married ![]()
or if the album is no longer no.1 in the chart
or someone famous person bought a house somewhere
What really matters is..
when someone does now know God’s promises for them and lives so recklessly,
when they are ignoring His grace and His love for them,
when someone dies without knowing God.
A christian walk is so EASY when you come to realised what Jesus had finished on the cross. The Father’s grace for us every single day surpasses anything that we can ever encounter in our life, our work, our relationships… The grace that enables us to receive His blessings and all the promises that are in the Bible.
We can live all our lives following our favourite player, favourite singer/actor/actress and when those things passes away, or circumstances changes, you will find emptiness in you because these things cannot fill the place for God that is in everyone’s heart. In the Bible it says, everyone has a knowledge of God because He is our creator. The creation knows the creator, but it just the the matter if they see God or not. Everyone at a point in their life will have the question - is there a God? And there is only one living God! Only when God is placed in that place in our heart, then everything will be filled one at a time and you’ll begin to see your life transformed more and more like Jesus, moving from glory to glory! (2 cor 3:17-18)
presence of God
wow, I had a great week (last week) with God. You know, it says..
Ps 84:10 NKJV
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Many times we think, Your courts or the house of God…is church. Right? I did too, until I decided to write this post that God revealed to me, that it’s not just in church that we have God. We are the temple of God, God lives in us. He dwells in us and therefore - we are carrying His presence wherever we go.
I can say, really, be in God’s presence is so great, one day in His presence is better than a thousand days elsewhere. Last week, I really felt His presence, not that normally God is not with me, but it was extra..maybe cause I choose to acknowledge it. When we acknowledge it, we’ll begin to see the small things that God takes part in and the things God does for us.
Testimony -> Despite the workload, things to finish, preparing for class, the list goes on - I still am able to find time to rest (sleep) and have enough time to finish everything that is needed to be done ON time. And there was rest despite the chaos, peace despite the storm… a very simple explanation - God was in control.

All the way my Saviour leads me
Not sure if this is auto play but it’s a beautiful song by Chris Tomlin - All the way my Savior leads me. Ok, I’ve checked it does not auto play, so do take a few minute to relax and listen to this song.. It’ll bless your heart!!
All the way my Savior leads me
Who have I to ask beside
How could I doubt His tender mercy
Who through life has been my guide
All the way my Savior leads me
Cheers each winding path I tread
Gives me grace for every trial
Feeds me with the living Bread
[Chorus:]
You lead me and keep me from falling
You carry me close to Your heart
And surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me
All the way my Savior leads me
O, the fullness of His love
O, the sureness of His promise
In the triumph of His blood
And when my spirit clothed immortal
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages
Jesus led me all the way
Jesus led me all the way
All the way my Savior leads me
All the way my Savior leads me ![]()
amazing grace
I hope that you’ll all take a few minutes to listen to this song…how great is God’s love for us!
“Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” by Chris TomlinAmazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing graceThe Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine
making our life count
Have you ever feel that there is something missing in your life?
There are so many things in the world that can fill that hole in our heart. Often, we chase after fame, riches or anything that can fill it. At the process of chasing it, you’ll feel fulfilled, as if you’ve accomplished something really great. But when it’s over, then the emptiness surfaces.
It occured to me last night, that I’ve lost my focus lately. I’ve been so into US Open since early september. Each morning I wake up, I want to know who gets into the next round, whose out and who is still surviving. I want to know the scores, the stats and read the comments of the players. But it’s been a week since everything is over. That hole that was once filled with chasing the stars in tennis is now getting deeper. And I realised that I’m left alone, lost and unfocused.
I do not deny, throughout my teenage life, I’ve been chasing superstars, actors, singers, etc…it does make me feel good for a moment, making me feel as if I am appreciated by them being a fan. But honestly, do u really think they really know me, appreciate me? LOL!
But as I look back these few years when I’m filling my life with more of God, that hole never resurface until I begin to fill it with things not of God. I am thankful that I’ve found God before I am too old and realised that everything I’ve been chasing for is in vain. Only God can fill the hole in our heart. Only God can give us the security that we need, to comfort us in times of need and His love is able to fill us to the max!
In the Passion World Tour that I attended last month, the focus was making our life count. Who are we making our life count for? Is it fame? Riches? Or Christ? Fame and riches is not eternal. It’ll one day be forgotten and lost. But the work that we do for God is eternal. Every action taken by obedience is like ripple affect, it will change the life of people around us and they will change life of others.
Last 2 months of holidays, God has been revealing bit by bit to me. And just last night, everything seems to fall into place. It’s amazing how sometimes God dont’ just throw you the big picture (incase you got scared) but He shows you a small part and as you are obedient, He’ll show you more of His plan. I wouldn’t say I know it all yet but one thing I’ve learnt is that He is faithful. His faithfulness does not depend on us - what we must do, what we musnt’ do,…etc. We don’t need to work extra hard so that He’ll hear us. Well, if we do, then grace won’t be needed. We are saved not by work, but by grace. We are able to receive all His promises not by achieving things and making ourself worthy, but we receive it when we accepted Christ as our Lord and Saviour. It’s free gift.
God is faithful. Period.

when is 1-1>1 ?
When is 1 + 1 = 0?
When 2 people do not agree on a topic. No conclusion can be made.
When is 1 + 1 = 1?
When 2 people come together in marriage.
When is 1 + 1 = 2?
In mathematics.
when is 1+1 = 3?
In business. (true?? )
When is 1 - 1 > 1
When is one minus one will be larger than one?
It is when we give our life to God that He makes us greater than the one we used to be.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (New King James Version)
p/s stil on Hiatus, just that this is too great to keep it to myself, so had to share with all of you! Shared by a leader during Shepherds’ Meeting.

What can’t I get out of my mind? Blogging! I wanted to leave the world of blogging for a short period of time. WHY? Partly because exams is coming up and I am supposed to be studying about cor pulmonale now. And see what I am doing?
Today Cell Group was superb!! Totally enjoyed it. Same goes to discipleship I had these few days. Really saw God teaching me and working through me. And something great I’ve learnt is that in ministry time, it is really a time to rest in God because God is giving the wisdom to teach and giving the strength to work. If ever we find ministry is work or labour, then we have got it all wrong!
Today, suppose we are going out for dinner, to welcome the visitors from Houston Worship Centre. Our pastors’ home church. The associate pastor, and 4 church admins are coming. So, we in the Shepherd’s ministry are supposed to take one of them out. But it happened that they are arrving late by train so it was cancelled. Can’t wait to meet all of them tomorrow in Holy Ghost meeting. Yay!!
Another great thing, Chris Tomlin, Louie Giglio and Charlie Hall are coming to Malaysia for Passion Conference!! It’s on Aug 3rd. Who are they?? Louie Giglio - the Laminin person! Also gave a great message on Indescribable God. We even watched it in church…super!!! ahaha…and Chris Tomlin who sang Indescribable God! I’ve booked my tickets, and I’m grabbing as many leaders as I can to go for it!! So, if you are between 18-25, dont miss out this great chance!!! It’s going to be a HUGE blessings!! Wow, thinking about it already makes me so excited. One thing that I am a bit disappointed is that it’s only 4 hours, should have make it a few days! It is too short..coz there are so much to receive from God!
