more cooking

Ok, this is already a very late post that I was supposed to blog long ago but always was lazy to get the pictures from the camera. Finally, yesterday, I upload the pictures and here it is. It’s another great moment of my ‘cooking group’ as we gather together to cook something special for our friend, Ik’s birthday. Also, a good reason for cooking good and quality food. We started around 3pm and finished cooking by 6. Amazing! But we manage to prepare 5 dishes.

The theme was Fried Food but of course if it’s only fried stuff, it’ll be heaty. So some fresh veges and salad we added.

So, firstly, salad. A very special and our great production, it’s 4 layer salad which consist of bigroot on the top (really sweet), then a layer of sliced carrot, crabmeat and egg with mayo in the middle, and finally potato at the bottom. Very sweet and healthy!

Next up, is chicken - I tried to make KFC Spicy chicken but no matter how much chili powder I marinated it with, it didnt taste a bit spicy at all. I wonder what went wrong! This is my first time tying this recipe using breadcrumbs, egg and kentucky powder. Not bad, really tasty except no spicy taste. But I love it!

Then we have another special - deep fried cauliflower and bringal coated with kentucky powder, breadcrumbs and egg.

Next, we have another spicy dish - egg sambal! One of our cooking group favourite. Easy to make and there is egg! My favourite!

Finally, a vege to cool us down…mix vege with mushroom and celery. Super tasty. And definately my favourite too! I love vegies..and celery, and mushroom. Yummy!!!

Of course, a birthday celebration cannot be without the cake! A special chocolate banana cake that we ordered from a friend. Super delicious!

A slice…it’s actually chocolate cake with bananas at the middle but it’s really one of the best choc cake I’ve tasted. Not too sweet, just perfect.

Sometimes I wonder the reason we want to cook for a special occasion. It’s most of the a reason to cook special dishes and something out of the ordinary stuff that we cook everyday. And also something of my own favourite. The next event..maybe New Year?

more lambie

Yea, thanks to Johnny, I got more pictures of the lamb, now it’s the black lamb…black sheep? aha…anyway, those were taken earlier in the day, before class starts. I was kinda scared at first when I took the leaves and saw them come running towards me….sort of reminded me of Scooby..anyway….

Here, we were feeding them, still I think they are kinda ‘kacang lupakan kulit’ because once you have no leaves in your hands, they’ll just walk away, and not even rememeber that you once fed them! BTW, I think it’s sheep, not lamb. Coz lamb are less than 1 year old while sheep are older than that. Which will bring to my next post…something I want to share about the Lamb of God!

Currently reading this fantastic book - Face to face with God by Bill Johnson. Amazing book! In cell group, we just finished another book by Bill Johnson- When Heaven Invades Earth.

This book is amazing, about encounter with God, favour with God. Well, I just read till the second chapter and it’s already boombing! One of many things that I’ve learnt is making the things we know into practise. You see, we know a lot of things about God, - healing, prosperity, favour, all His promises in the bible. And if we only know them, it’ll be like a theory to us. But once we start to practise it, we’ll experience it and it’ll be a testimony!! A living testimony.

And you begin to wonder, if the things that God promised will come true….well, turn to Isaiah 55:11

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it

Here, you’ll see that His words will no return to Him void but will accomplish, and not only accomplish but prosper too! Amen!!!

lame? lamb?

Taking another outing after class, another photgraphy session. Nearby the hospital there was a big park, so we went there, to take pictures…pictures courtesy of Johnny.

Another group picture - yay! all 11 of us are present! Isnt the playgound BIG? Never saw such big slides…like a big puzzle.

Then, walking to another side, there were actually lamb there…dont know if it’s lamb or sheep or goat. Should be sheep coz lamb are baby sheep? aha…a bit confused.

We are feeding the lamb with leaves. There were actually black sheep but was at the other side…so, we sort of play and feed this white one. When they saw you coming with leaves in your hand, they’ll walk towards you…because they want to eat. Then, right after eating, they’ll turn away and leave you. Which struck me - lamb and dogs aren’t the same. Dogs will continue to be with you, teman you and remember you..but not lamb. So, I miss scooby & hei gou.

Later we were waiting for the tram and I asked if we should take a ’sarang-hae’ picture..u know those that you make love sign with your hand..then K said it was lame. So, I asked if that was more lame or the jumping picture was more lame - he said equivalent. Then E added - It was more lame taking with the lamb.  ahha…lamb, lame…

earlier outing

OK, this is the earlier outing, before I took with my groupmates. We were celebrating KL’s bday and walked by the park, saw that it was really beautiful so took some pictures.

3 of us  , I was kinda late for church so we didnt really try to take alot of pictures..

myself..hehee…love the trees!!

Bday girl and Colley, I think they look very nice and the trees behind, wow, it’s wonderfu! Beginning of Autumn is really nice. But late autumn, it’s not as nice because it’s wet, and slimy, and the trees are all botak! aha..and worst, it’s windy and cold! :???: Exactly how the weather is now…raining most of the time, wet, windy and cold.

Myself and Colley.. yay!! love this pic!

Ok, what else has been happening to me for this past week? Not really good sleep…but I just slept for the past 9 hours! hhahaha….Kinda disappointed because Federer and Nadal didnt make it to the finals in Madrid Master Series. Oh well, tennis is a fair game or sports. So, you can expect some suprises here and there.

OK for now, need to go out soon!

autumn’s beauty

Here’s more pictures..ok, this pic below, i believe is the best picture that we took. Well, if not the best, it’s one of the best. It’s really natural and very beautiful! haha..love autumn, it’s really beautiful.

This one is Andrew, Niny and me. An impromtu one, coz I just  jumped into the picture while both of them are supposed to take, dont know if I became the light bulb or not..aha…but we’re all friends so…it’s ok (i guess)…

This is a nice pic we took sitting on the ground, lovely isnt it? Kelvin, the one of the most left is trying to make some effect with the leaves, throwing it up so that it’ll have the effect of like leaves falling down on us! ahaha…it didnt work but i feel the pic is really nice! Anyway, today is Kelvin’s birthday, so, Happy Birthday Kelvin!!!! We do have another pictures of the whole group lying on the ground, haven seen the pictures yet but I have a feeling it’s going to be nice..

ok, now this picture everyone is trying make the effect of leaves falling down on us but kinda not ‘natural’. But we all looked happy, so I am happy! ahaha…

More pictures coming up, haven collect the rest from other camera!

I dont really want to talk about my week…even though I feel I’m supposed to mention about something…well, I feel I’m gaining weight! Not good!!! I want to eat and eat and eat. I’m always hungry! BAD!!

Anyway, Federer will be playing today, later tonight…it’s going to be his first match after the US Open. I dont know what I’m feeling about it..wish I could watch it instead of following the live scores.

Autumn Collection

it’s AUTUMN!!! Yay…the leaves are turning golden and it’s beautiful. There is no words to describe it, just amazed because of the beauty of what God has made. My group - Group 4, decided to have a photoshot - a day out to take pictures. =p Reason was that we wanted to take 4-season pictures of everyone together siince it’s our final year.

Here, we are preparing….go to the park, great camera by Johnny. OK, my picure quality is very small and might not be as sharp but trust me, it’s amazing quality! And then the server today is a bit de-crack, so i can’t upload anything…but manage to get the pics from Johnny in Facebook. So, when the server is better, in the future, I promise, more pictures!

Of course we did lots of ‘lame’ action in front of the camera. It took me a while to convince them to take ‘jumping pictures’! Some commented that it was VERY LAME but I love jumping pictures and now with a great camera, of course we should take it, right? We had it on auto, taking a series of a few but still, we weren’t really jumping at the same rate but I’m sure we all had lots of fun!

Then, we decided to take some famous shots…ok, too much of influence from TV Series, we decided to take one of everyone’s favourite - Heroes.

Not really the same but you get the idea!!! Dont you? It’s like posing for a poster or album cover! ahaha…reli cool….do click the image so it’s bigger and clearer!

Next was Moonlight Resonance - 家好月圓. But we didnt really manage too coz the weather was too cold and eveyrone was getting a bit tired. But I found this picture, I think it sort of is similar to the Japanese drama - Hero by Takuya Kimura.

Here is the picture. Sort of resembles? ahaha…just the colour of the trees are not the same!

Ok, fine..here is a more normal picture of the group in front of this big batu. It’s where we first gathered when we first arrived in Kursk. Taking this picture is just to remember the time we once were here abt 5 and half years ago. time flies!

Please click on the pictures for bigger version and more clear..i feel terrible that it’s at such a low quality…

presence of God

wow, I had a great week (last week) with God. You know, it says..

Ps 84:10 NKJV
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Many times we think, Your courts or the house of God…is church. Right? I did too, until I decided to write this post that God revealed to me, that it’s not just in church that we have God. We are the temple of God, God lives in us. He dwells in us and therefore - we are carrying His presence wherever we go.

I can say, really, be in God’s presence is so great, one day in His presence is better than a thousand days elsewhere. Last week, I really felt His presence, not that normally God is not with me, but it was extra..maybe cause I choose to acknowledge it. When we acknowledge it, we’ll begin to see the small things that God takes part in and the things God does for us.

Testimony -> Despite the workload, things to finish, preparing for class, the list goes on - I still am able to find time to rest (sleep) and have enough time to finish everything that is needed to be done ON time. And there was rest despite the chaos, peace despite the storm… a very simple explanation - God was in control.

Btw, it’s autumn Picture above taken courtesy of Johnny with his new SLR camera. it’s beautful..hopefully you all can click on the pic and it can be ‘enlarged’ because autumn is beautiful. ** just tried- yup, u can click and it’ll be v large, but when you save it and view in your windows, it’s amazing! beautiful autumn!

I too, went to the park nearby our hostel and I was surprised to see all the trees turning golden…it’s amazing! It’s so beautiful, I do not have words to describe it!!! Just can give all PRAISE to God for His amazing creation!!!I manage to take some last saturday - will blog abt it…the pictures are so beautiful…the sceneries and the person inside too! ahah  Here is a preview….

More pictures - we planning to get a group picture…a collection of 4 seasons Group 4 pictures! ahah.. Sure going to be fun! Just that last Saturday, the weather was great, and dry, so perfect to take pictrues but since Sunday, it has been raining - wet, muddy…so, hopefully by Saturday it’ll be dry so more pictures can be taken, also group photo! example..picture below, taken last winter…
