A day with Sherp

it’s the D day! ok, i’m not sure what D-day means, to me, it’s The day. The first day here in London. Tour guide : Sherlene. More like we are leading each other instead of she’s the guide coz we were both clueless.

First thing first, visited the place I didnt manage to visit the last time I was here - Tower Bridge, London Tower and Eggie.

We stopped in Monument Stop, and walked up, it was the London bridge. Very beautiful and cold at the same time, wind was strong and both of us were shivering…kinda regretted wearing skirts! The continue to walk towards the Tower Bridge, it was beautiful…

Saw Eggie. The first time I saw was last winter, when Ben told us about it, but never saw it for myself, only in pictures. I wasnt satisfied because others had their pictures taken with Eggie so I purposed this time to take. And when I told Sherp that I wanted to take the picture with the egg, she tought it was the ‘black egg’ but later she found out it was the bigger one behind! ahha…we had a great laugh!!

From there, we walked to London Tower. Very nice, it’s like a mini castle! Didnt went in, just took pictures from outside!

Signing off, will be going out now…bye!

reporting to base

hey, reporting my status - currently in London! Yay!!!! Had a great time, no pictures coz…lame excuse..

we flew to heathrow and just before landing, we had a manigficent view of the London popular spots. I saw the London Tower from the air, the London Eye, and also the palace! It was super!!!! Then, we landed in their new terminal - Terminal 5. It was so beautiful, so big and so new!!!

Custom check was very fast, the queue was fast - praise God. Waited for about 3 minutes and the custom check less than 2 min. Then we were out and the luggage arrived very fast. Was out by 30 minutes. Super fast! It’s so much faster than Moscow airport which at the custom check, we had to wait for more than an hour!!!!!!

Anyway, more cheerful things, bought the underground tickets and now is at home, safe and sound. Had homecooked dinner, thanks to yiyi, and a warm bath. Yay, and internet to use! Double super!

Signing off, need to sleep, will have a long day tmr!

break from hiatus

a hiatus from my previous hiatus! ahha..ok, i know I am not supposed to be blogging becoz I am having a haitus but I cant keep my feelings hidden!!!!

Dearest veep just asked me if I wanted to go to Thorpe Park. Without thinking I said YES!!! I thought it was a ‘park’ like any other Hyde Park or St. James Park, maybe this was dedicated for Ian Thrope, but it doest not make any sense, in UK??? The veep asked, if I knew what it was, so I asked if it was Ian Thorpe’s park? and I think she nearly fainted!! ahaha, It is actually UK’s most thrillling park. OMG!!

She send me a pic…

thorpe park

OMG, by just looking at the picture I felt the adrenaline rush!! They have more than 1 rollercoasters!!! WAH!!!!! Next, I went to check the price and time, etc…not bad, if we are going on a group of 5-9, we can get 40% discount, and it cost £19, if we book online. If not, it’s £32. hhmm….

Thanks veep for telling me! At least now, I have something to look forward too!! Now, lets see what I can expect from this theme park!

wow!!! I must be the one sitting on the first row…it’s going to a great thrill!!!!

rollercoaster

I have got to play this!!! wah!! It is so fun!!!!!! One of my dream to actually sit on one of these…it’s like ur leg is dangling…wow, the excitement is indescribable!!

yay!! another freefall…this is a MUST!! especially the one I took in Disneyland which some claimed it was too mild, and I must go to Genting’s free fall, but I couldnt make it this summer but here is another that can make up! ahhaha…..

a word from the writer

Dear readers, it’s been a while since I updated about myself. *guilty*. Well, on May 1st, it was labour’s day, holiday for us and I really had a great rest. Then, the very funny university or country decided to prolong their holiday, so Thursday and Friday were holidays. But when you take a day off, you need to replace it, right? Even in sec school, when they want to have extra day off because of sports day, or PMR exams…or CNY holidays, they have replacements on Saturday. So, the smart university is replacing the Friday holiday on Sunday.

Wow – class on Sunday. Not only class, it’s a working day on Sunday! This is my 5th time experiencing this and normally, I’ll get a big confusion on what day it is and it’s more like a disorientation because Sunday is supposed to be a break, not a working day.

The story doest end just here, on Friday, 9 May, it’s Victory day! It is a European holiday…because victory in WW II, I suppose, or was it against Germany? I remember talking to Carrots (in Germany) that we are having Victory day holiday, last year, and I asked her if she will be having it…if I am not mistaken, she didn’t have because Germany lost! Ahaha…sorrie carrots…haha….*blush*

Anyway, another 2 days holiday, Friday and Saturday…and replacement for Saturday – Sunday is working day, again. But praise God, we manage to negotiate with the teacher and tomorrow we don’t need to attend class. But we need to do 2 topics on Monday. Varicose diease and post cholecysectomy syndrome.

I jsut had a nap, and dreamt of going to London…was in London airport..ahaha…anyway, lots more to plan. More places to go which I have not went too. I was thinking, should i go to Science Museum? For sure I must go London Tower Bridge. Didnt manage to go the last time. Greenwich? 4-Season Duck!!!! Any ideas?

God’s Co-Labourers’ day

Our cell leader, Lawrence was given a vision from God, to have us celebrate today as God’s Co-Labourer’s day. We are called to be co-labourer’s with Christ, and today as Labourer’s day, so, here we have tonight to celebrate God’s Co-Labourer’s Day.

As we gather, there shall be no food in lacking! ahaha..so, we have each members cook a dish.

And we take this opportunity to invite our mortals. A month ago, our cell leader started this Project Angel. Each member is given one unbeliever or a believer that does not attend the cell group. And we are to bless them and pray for them. It is an evangelistic project. And at the end of the month, today, we invited them and announced who is whos angel or mortal.

Not only that, we have all the cell members prepare a story of a bible character. One drew as she told her story, another did powerpoint. My character was David. There was Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, Jonah, Paul, Elisha and Moses. All of us had fun listening to the bible story and I can see potential members that can be in children’s ministry! I missed my sunday school days and today, it really make me felt as if I am in a sunday school. It was great!!

Here we have the princesses of thecell - Niny, Yew Ching, Jo and Sandra..and of course the one holding the camera! ahaha…also missing in the picture is Pauline.

We cannot miss out taking the group picture!! From behind - Shoo Hao, Choc Ky, Kelvin, Titus, Bryan, Benedict and Sandra. Sitting, Pauline, Yew Ching, Josephine. On the floor - me, Lawrence and Niny.

summer plans

i have a feeling this summer is going to be really fun. not because it is going to be my last summer, because after this summer, next year, it’ll be summer all year thru..ok, confusing? well, long story short, i’ll be graduating soon, in 64 weeks. Approximately there. Maybe a week earlier or later.

Anyway, I thought I am the only one planing for summer, going to places and seeing people, until I chat with my yiyi, I found out, my cousins are going to be travelling too!

An uncertain yet great new, I might be staying over a few days in London before going back home. Yay, which means I can visit the London Tower Bridge and some other places that I didn’t manage to go. Keeping my fingers cross!

Then, will be expecting Jas to come over from NZ. Visiting Xuan for a weekend in the first week of July. Maybe going to genting if the parents allow. Hahaha.., then the Ting’s coming over at the end of July.

The August - the Olympic month!
