howdy!

reporting after being MIA for a few days! Went to British Museum, it was great but tiring because the museum was so BIG. So many historical stuff like vase and stones and so on. Rabun look at so many things.

Then wanted to go and watch the All England Lawn Tennis Tournament or better known to be Wimbledon. But was lost and didnt have the tickets so, ended up walking around Southfields and bought some gifts for the tennis freaks! they have been bugging me to get this and that, go there to watch….dont even know how hard it is to get there and how expensive, went there and nothing!! Anway, got the lanyard and keychain and visor. one for each!

tomorrow going to Oxford Street and eat duck! Ahaha…a few people had told me that I must go to this shop to eat! and I did - it was great!! the meat is so soft..yummy, going to bring the rest of the comrades to go eat tomorrow!

break from hiatus

a hiatus from my previous hiatus! ahha..ok, i know I am not supposed to be blogging becoz I am having a haitus but I cant keep my feelings hidden!!!!

Dearest veep just asked me if I wanted to go to Thorpe Park. Without thinking I said YES!!! I thought it was a ‘park’ like any other Hyde Park or St. James Park, maybe this was dedicated for Ian Thrope, but it doest not make any sense, in UK??? The veep asked, if I knew what it was, so I asked if it was Ian Thorpe’s park? and I think she nearly fainted!! ahaha, It is actually UK’s most thrillling park. OMG!!

OMG, by just looking at the picture I felt the adrenaline rush!! They have more than 1 rollercoasters!!! WAH!!!!! Next, I went to check the price and time, etc…not bad, if we are going on a group of 5-9, we can get 40% discount, and it cost £19, if we book online. If not, it’s £32. hhmm….

Thanks veep for telling me! At least now, I have something to look forward too!! Now, lets see what I can expect from this theme park!

I have got to play this!!! wah!! It is so fun!!!!!! One of my dream to actually sit on one of these…it’s like ur leg is dangling…wow, the excitement is indescribable!!

 yay!! another freefall…this is a MUST!! especially the one I took in Disneyland which some claimed it was too mild, and I must go to Genting’s free fall, but I couldnt make it this summer but here is another that can make up! ahhaha…..

secret recipe

I remember reading in carrot’s blog, she’s always baking cakes, making pancakes and baking cookies. I so envy her! She has all her ‘friends’ to help her. Is it Andrew? *sorrie, I forgot his name! * Haha, I was talking about her tools to bake. Well, I bought an oven about a year or two ago. And since then, i have bake more than I have ever in my whole life. From orange butter cake to peach butter cake, cheese cakes and tats all that I’ve ever baked! It was all great success, k! Sometimes I feel that I have great talent in cooking! ahaha…*tidak malu!! **

Anyway, after I read what carrots did for her friends, the pancakes, I asked her for the recipe. It was about a month ago. I never got the ingredients ready or time to make. Finally, today, after being disappointed in a couple of things, I decided to make myself happy and make some love pancakes. I followed the ingredients properly and step by step…but it happened that I needed cup. erm…example - 2 and half cup of flour. CUPS??? What kind of cup?? Is it big or small? *puzzled* I decided to use a normal cup and measure everything accordin to it. It was perfect except for my buttermilk, I am 1 cup short! Because I only bought about 250ml. Opps..so, I added more milk instead. Ahaha…sorrie carrots for changing the recipe!

But it turned out very great!!!

Another I found out, I didnt have non-stick pan. The first time I tried making it, it became all mushy and cant even turn it because it was sticking to the pan. BAD! So, I borrowed one from my friend without permission from the owner. Sorrie. I promise to make some for you tmr!

According to Carrots, I am supposed to add some fruits to go with it. Honey or sweet syrups. I went to the supermarket, and the whole market, not a stall has strawberry. Just a few days ago, everywhere there was strawberry and it was cheap!!! rm 12 for 1kg. Where did all the strawberries go??!!! Disappointed again, I went home. Praise the Lord I bought honey a few weeks ago. So, I put in all the stuff that I had.

I made it small because KL thinks it’s really nice. Something she saw in the net. So she thought it might be cute to make the pancakes smaller. And she suggested that I add in prunes when I am making it, but apparently I don’t have. So, I put in raisins and honey.

The creative me suddenly came up with the idea of putting choc topping for this new pancake that I just made. I dont have chocolate but I have milo! A few spoons of milo and a few drops of water - choc paste. It was yummy…sweet! too sweet. How nice if I have strawberries.

to carrots : It was really nice! It was soft and definately the best mixture i’ve ever tried. the recipe’s ingredients were alot…as in, after i mix all of the stuff, it was so much, one whole big bowl. i stil have more than half a big bowl in the fridge. tomorrow and sunday’s breakfast will be pancakes! I was thinking to make some for my friends…so, those that get it tomorrow, it’s because I have all of you in mind! ahaha…ahaha…

I hate shopping when I am disappointed because I’ll end up buying really weird things just to cheer myself up! I bought spinach and bacons! Something I never buy because spinach - expensive. Bacon - I have no idea which is what and how to cook it. But God gave me an idea to cook - spinach & bacon spaghetti. It turned out very well, except that the bacon didn’t taste the way I thought it did. Maybe I should fry it longer for the oil to come out so it can coat the spaghetti better. The spinach was sweet and really fresh. This was my dinner! cool, isn’t it?  

power of the cross

Many people underestimated what Jesus did on the cross for us. What is the power of the cross? Is it merely just saving us from hell?

Well, many people believe that accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour means going to heaven. I am here to prove you wrong! It is more than just going to heaven! If it is just that, then the word ’save’ should have been used, rather than the long word ’salvation’. The word save is sozo in Greek, and Salvation is sotaria in Greek. Why use a longer word? Well, it’s because what Jesus did on the cross was more than just saving us from hell.

What is more?? What is so powerful? What did Jesus do on the cross that carries so much power? Here is the good news (gospel). Jesus didnt just die so we could go to Heaven.

He died to give us life, and life more abundantly!(John10:10) Life more abundantly begins here, on earth, NOW. Now means now…not in the future, not after death, it’s NOW!

When Jesus was on the cross, He did not only carry the sins of the world, but all our sickness and dieases, (1peter 2:24) and our suffering. When Jesus said, “it is finished” it meant - It is FINISHED. (John 19:30) Everything was done. Nothing was left undone.

Jesus carried the curse of sin that we can be righteous. He carried the sickness and dieases that we might have health. He carried our sufferings that we can have joy. This is what the cross did. And when Jesus said, I have come to give you life, and life more abundantly..it is refering to health, joy, prosperity, freedom from sin and bondages, and all the good things.

This is the gospel. The word gospel means good news. Isnt it a good news?? When you tell someone that Jesus had already died for their sickness to give them health, isnt that a good news? Jesus had died for their proverty that they might have a good life, isnt this a good news?

If you are finding today, that you have sickness and dieases, well, know the good news that Jesus had already die for tat, it is already finished! You have healing (1 peter 2L24).  Just receive what God has freely give. If you are in emotional bondages or strongholds or sins that you cannot get rid, well, know that Jesus had already died for it and you have the victory!! You are more than a conqueror! (romans 8:37).

God did not promise that life as His children will be problem free, but He promised that we have the victory over all the troubles that comes in the way. We have the victory because of what Jesus did on the cross!

more doggie review

most poeple will think that russians are very mean. well, i will not disagree because i’ve met mean people and i dont believthat just because one or two are mean so we can conclude tat eveyrone is mean in the country, right? There are people that are kind. On sunday, I met really kind dog owners.

I’ve even learn a few tips to taking a good doggie picture! You must be at the same level with the dog. means you need to sit down or squat. Your height needs to be parallel to the dog when taking the picture. this will make sure that the dog wont look short and his legs will not look like terbantut. This will also ensure that the lighting to the dog is good, it will be too dark on the bottom. 

A german shepherd. Really cool. Very big and strong! Wish we could have one of this at home!!! Well, hei gou is a mix of german shepherd. I guess that counts!

Bulldog. This girl was really sweet, she let me take a picture..and even pose the dog for me! yay!!! But I am not a fan of bulldogs….but it’s nice it’s nice!

Yay, my favourite - Husky. it’s like the snow dogs!!! super super cute!!

oh no!!! i think this one looks alot like a fairer version of scooby!!! ahaha, even some of my friends agree so!

this one is really active. He or she was always jumping up against the owner. I really want to hug him!! So cute!!!

the dogs preparing for the running competition. Running? it’s actually the owner holding them and run and the judges will see which dog is the fastest. Isnt that a bit unfair? If the owner is slow, then the dog will be slow! ahaha

btw, is this Golden Retriever? Super cute!! So soft. Well I didnt touch but it does look very silky!!

this dog has just completed his/her task, so is now resting in the portable dog house! so cooling inside, the day was hot and it’s great that he has a shade for himself!!

small dog. If you watch the series, The 7th Day, they have this kind of dog inside. Named Jack, super smart dog!

dog competition

today started off really bad. it’s sunday, it is as if i woke up at the wrong side of my bed. *ahem* even though my bed only has one side because i am sleeping beside the wall. anyway, the story went like this….

i am suppose to have Intern’s meeting today. Church Interns meeting, every sunday, at 11am. What we do is bible study. Normally, my alarm will go off at 8am. But I thought, why not, let me sleep longer today, so I set it to be 9am. It rang and I woke up, and went back to sleep thinking I will for sure wake up by 10am the latest. Guess what time I woke up?? 12pm!!! I missed the meeting.

The story goes on, I made jelly/agar-agar. For about an hour or more, til 2.30pm. Before that I made myself breakfast lunch. Suddenly, Miss Hwong came in and asked me if I’ve seen the dogs!? WHAT DOGS????

There was a dog competition in the park nearby our hostel. in less than 5 minutes, i changed and rushed out. It was already 10min to 3pm. I didnt put in much hope as the competition might have started by 11am. I just hope there are so dogs around. This is the second time I am seeing this even tho they have it every autumn and spring. The last time I saw the dog competition was one and a half year ago in 2006 Sept.. Click here for the review of the competition 1 and half year ago…maybe some of the dogs are here too!

Hush Puppy. It is actually very big. Bigger than Hei Gou. But super cute!! I never imagined them to be this big.

feeling a bit n-v

Yea..I wish I could have this too!!! but….It’s ok, I can settle with 18GB of Jamie Oliver’s show!! I cant be too greedy, right? I mean…other than that, I dont really read and I cant afford to carry such a heavy book all the way from Msia and bring it back next year!

it sounds so fast…so near….in just a few months time…next year! I’ll be graduating next year…WOW!!!

Carrots, I’ll burn the shows and bring back msia for you….then we can watch and cook together! or we could practise for a semester and when i go visit you, we could do some real delicious cooking!
