ThursdayWednesday’s post
It’s been a few days and I feel it’s about time I blog….before all my readers starts to stop visiting me. I am so grateful for the comments given and also for the visits. Yay!!
Anyway, weather is really crazy lately, it can be as cold as -2 in the morning and then is so warm (abt 3-5degree) in the afternoon and evening. So, I’ll be wearing thick, prepared for the cold, by the time the class finishes, I’ll be sweating on the way back because it’s warmer.
I was watching Heroes season 3 episode 7…so nice!!! The latest episode is 8, and well, I haven’t got it yet, still waiting for it to circulate around…but sadly to say, I read the spoiler but still, I can’t wait to watch the real thing. What will happen to Peter? How about Sylar? Honestly, I think I read more than episode 8 spoiler, maybe I read till end of the first half of the season.
Bad of me but I’m amazed at how the writer could come up with such a story!
Any Heroes fan here?
Just finished my Clinical Immunology classes/rotation/cycle. Tomorrow starts a new cycle - Peds Infectious Disease. It’s going to be at one of the largest hospital in the city but the bus there…ewe..packed!!!! It’s either that I have to go super early or be late.
Winter holidays…
hehehe…no ideas yet, no confirmed plans, maybe I’ll just stay in my room and grow mushroom or go to Italy!
Keeping my fingers crossed. Right now, I dont have close friends who plans to go Italy..sometimes in the context of travelling, you just need to go with someone you are comfortable with…then it’ll be fun, and no stress. ![]()
Harvest Times in my mail
Yesterday, someone came and knocked on my door, reluctantly I went to open the door, a friend from church came to visit, who is also staying in the same hostel. In her hands were a mail for me…I looked at it, expecting it to be the normal newsletter I receive from Joyce Meyer Ministry but this one was thicker and I looked at the address…
YAPPIE!!! It’s Harvest Times, a quarterly christian magazine produced by City Harvest Church Singapore. I was estaticaly! I didnt know my subscription would actually got through!
I first saw the magazine in Xuan’s apartment and was really excited about it…then inside it says if we want to subscribe can always email or fax. At the same time, Jasmine also was there and she was enjoying the articles inside. So I suggested that we try to subscribe and before I came over to Russia, I emailed both our addresses but wasn’t really expecting it…

It’s so amazing! I’m still very excited about it! I know, alot of people might not necessary agree with how the church is preaching yada yada..But to me, as long as they are preaching the message of God, and getting people to Jesus, I dont think anyone has any right to criticize about another church….because everyone is only accountable to God for their ministry. If they are teaching the wrong doctrines or whatever, they are to asnwer to God and we are not to point fingers….

Anyway, I just finished watching The Four. A lot of people is asking me, why do I have time to watch! I have been thinking about it too..wondering if Russia’s time is slower than other places because I must admit, time at home flies so fast, and I couldnt get alot of things done in a day but here, there are so much extra time that sometimes I dont know what to do. eg, now…
Anyway, last night, I was thinking before I sleep, why do I have extra time to watch series. it’s not like I dont study. I do!! I cook, I wash, I clean, I eat, I sleep, I study…and I still have time to watch one or two or more episodes a day. WHY!! I only manage to conclude….it’s the room!
ROOM??
Size of the room is SMALL. Everything is within reach so I save the few seconds and minutes and there I have the extra time that I dont have at home. The time to go to the toilet and back to my table is maybe just a minute. If i want to drink, I dont need to walk to the kitchen, it’s within reach. It might just take 10 sec to go to my fridge, and back to my table. From my study table to my bed, 3 seconds. Amazing? Very! I finally realized that with those small seconds and minutes that I manage to save, that is how I have extra time to watch series!
Funny? I think so too
Btw, weather out there is currently -4 degrees. Freezing eh..but praise God, this year’s central heating is good and the room is warm.
in the state of rest
Wow, it’s already November. 2 more months till we finish 2008. I cannot believe this year past so fast. I’ve started to notice that we’re moving really fast towards the end of 2008 and it kinda scare me. Sort of remind me of how old I am getting.
Currently watching…

The Four or it’s also known as 少年四大名捕. I just find this year’s TVB production to be really good, lots of nice drama series. This is by the young 4 actors of TVB - Lam Fung, Sammul Chan, Ron Ng and Kenneth Ma. Just too bad Bosco isnt in side. Anyway it’s based on the martial arts novels written by Wen Ruian.
But before I can continue watching, going to do my ‘homework’….doing case history of a petient..compiling the info after clerking the patient. Not fun cause a lot to write….
It’s getting really cold these few days, and suspected the lowest degree to be -6 by end of the week. Yesterday morning, on the way to class, all the puddle at the road side were frozen and windowshield were also icy…. *shiver* Anyway, cold is good! aha…at least you wont sweat…
P/S : with all these homework to do, it’s not really in a state of rest..aha…just that for the past week, I was really in the state of rest…now got to get out and do some work before I turned into a… pig? ![]()
winter is here
It’s predicted that this week’s lowest temperature will be -1 degree. *shiver* But at the moment, it is ok, just chill only.
Today is Nov 4th, it’s a public holiday!
Because it’s Unity Day. Haha…yay, a time to really relax at home….it’s a long awaited holiday, since the semester started, we didnt have any breaks or holiday, this is the first. And the next will be new year.
Anyway, found this nice video/song by Chris Tomlin -Take My Life.
Plans for today? Time pass very fast, now it’s already noon. I feel like I want to sleep for the whole day but woke up right on time - after 8 hours sleep. Made some nice french toast with tuna for roomie and I. Then blogging…still not very satisied with my blog template but I guess for now, it’s going tho be this, until I find a better one…sometimes I hate being such perfectionist that is why I am trying to compromise some stuff about the blog. : ???:
Shanghai Master Cup starts next Monday. Nadal has decided to pull put due to several reasons he mentioned on his official site. No news from Federer, so most probably he’ll be playing. Gilles Simon will take Nadal’s place as one of the 8 players in the Master Cup.
Last night I watched Camp Rock…not my type of movie..I would still prefer High School Musical. Hope I’ll get to watch HSM 3. Also, I think soon Twilight The Movie will be coming out?! Anyone can tell me the exact date? ![]()
The Visitor
We had a visitation today…from BIG people all the way from Msia. Well, we sort of knew about it at the beginning of the week, just didnt sink into us how BIG they are. It’s actually called The Delegates. Ok, we are still not sure why they are here - the delegates include 5 people - Health Ministry Director General Dr Ismail Merican and 4 of his team members!
Most of them are senior members of the MMC. BIG people, ok! No jokes!!
The meeting was held in one of the largest meeting hall in the university, and it was compulsory for 5th and 6th year medical students and group leaders of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students. But as I see, not all the people that were supposed to come turned up. That is not the whole point….the point is about the purpose of the meeting.
Still very unclear.
There was a very inspiring speech about our future prospect as a doctor in Malaysia. Very inspiring, I must admit. With all good promises and talking about the benefits of returning to Malaysia, the privilages…all sugar coated words, but the reality isn’t as nice, that everyone knows deep in their heart even though they would like to believe the inspiring speech.
Next, there were something like a question and asnwer session. A few questions were raised about the possibility of derecognization of Russian Medical university and the real purpose of their visit this time. Well, we got our answers but I kinda doubt it if they were true, I mean, if they really are going to derecognize the Russian Medical University, they aren’t just going to announce it to us now..but, as Dr. Ismail Merican said, it’s unlikely. So, no worries for us and the juniors. Moving on, they said it’s just a visit for evaluating the system here…something they should be doing and has been doing frequnetly. Visiting different medical universities in different countries.
Then, there were questions about Internship and we were directed to visit their official website MMC. We were asked to download the Housemanship Guidebook under Internship.
hehe…but learnt something really cool - rupanya, non-malaysian citizen cant work as houseman in Malaysia! hoho…but who would want to come to Malaysia to work! aha…but it does feel like a privilages, doest it? aha…
sleepy….
i’ve been sleeping more and more, could it be the change of weather? It can be super cold in the morning and later is warmer by a few degrees by noon, and cold again in the evening.
Ok, ramblings….
Update? Well, right now, I’m having Polyclicnic cycle. One week. Kind of interesting coz we’re learning about out patient treatment. Next week, it’ll be Internal Medicine cycle for 2 weeks. Supposed to be 5 weeks but we are breaking it up into 2 parts. it’s one of my favourite subject but the hospital is not very near and the morning buses are sssooo packed!!!
Well, I need to go nap, later we are having some meeting with some Malaysian officials. *clueless*
earlier outing
OK, this is the earlier outing, before I took with my groupmates. We were celebrating KL’s bday and walked by the park, saw that it was really beautiful so took some pictures.
3 of us
, I was kinda late for church so we didnt really try to take alot of pictures..
myself..hehee…love the trees!!
Bday girl and Colley, I think they look very nice and the trees behind, wow, it’s wonderfu! Beginning of Autumn is really nice. But late autumn, it’s not as nice because it’s wet, and slimy, and the trees are all botak! aha..and worst, it’s windy and cold!
Exactly how the weather is now…raining most of the time, wet, windy and cold.
Myself and Colley.. yay!! love this pic!
Ok, what else has been happening to me for this past week? Not really good sleep…but I just slept for the past 9 hours!
hhahaha….Kinda disappointed because Federer and Nadal didnt make it to the finals in Madrid Master Series. Oh well, tennis is a fair game or sports. So, you can expect some suprises here and there.
OK for now, need to go out soon!
