miniature killer 2
Ive noticed a decrease of comments in my blog lately. It does make me feel a bit discouraged. Not that much so that I’ll stop blogging!
Miniature killer 2 is back!!!
For those that watched CSI season 7, you’ll know what I am talking about!
Is the miniature killer back??? Of course not! What how about all these miniatures???
Well, they are miniatures but is not after a murder. It’s actually for our Forensic Medicine class. Interesting? We just started a new cycle - Forensic Medicine, on Thursday. We had our class in this ‘museum’ with lots of scary equipments and ‘preparations’ that are in fact from a real crime scene…so we thought.
Some are mummified, some looks like Frankenstein.
And a few ‘miniatures’ of crime scene. Pretty interesting. The first time we noticed, we all shouted - Miniature killer!!
there are some bones and tengkorak also. Does look like a mini museum of horror.
Finally it’s Saturday.
Shall blog more tmr!
Till then…
mid-week
We had kolo-mee style of mee with a touch of tomatoes and carrots.
Then, papadam. What is it? Well, it’s something really foreign for Sarawakians and most West Malaysians are amazed how much Sarawakians love this! It’s an Indian food but does not restrict to Indian only, practically everyone in West Malaysia knows about this. it’s something like keropok but you’re supposed to eat with curry or other Indian food. It’s amazing!! It’s so easy to fry, it comes in a packs, flat keropok and then you fry them. Yummy!!! Papadam.

Next, it’s fried chicken wings. Cool isnt it. It makes a big difference when you add breadcrumps to go with the chicken before frying. Makes it looks like KFC and tastes really crispy!
Manage to watch The Gem of Life till episode 27. A very nice, exciting series from TVB. Anyone out there following it? It’s one of the longest running drama with 80 episodes and still airing now. Thanks to the students living in apartments that has unlimited internet, we have the privilage to enjoy very up to date series here! grin:
Also read the draft for Midnight Sun.
Still waiting for the links to download Twilight. No one here seems to be expecting the movie except for Breezy and I. Haha..been discussing about the book and movie for a week!

I wont forget - a very good friend’s birthday today, Dec 3rd….
Happy Birthday, Steph!
wish you to have very blessed year ahead! may the Lord give you grace and strength to face the things in life and make you strong!
hardtimes establishes you! Part 2
Remeber the previous post about how hardtimes establishes you? I didn’t manage to go into the title even! aha..and it was already long enough for a post. Everyone faces hard times, sometimes we feel it’s too much for us, and it’s better to just give up! Well….do you want to give birth to a better/new you? Soar higher above the storms? or Take off into the clouds? Or do you just want to give up when trouble comes….
God promised never to give us something we cannot handle.
1corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Do you remember the bible story of David and Goliath. David, being the youngest in his family, a shepherd that never went to war before, came and face the giant, Goliath. David knew who was with him - that’s the Lord God almighty!

Know who is with you today, God is with you, the Holy Spirit dwells in you.
David did not saw Goliath as a problem that will bring him down. David saw Goliath as an opportunity to glorify His God and also to establish him for the future.
2 Cornthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Often we see our problem bigger than us, but when you turn your eyes to Jesus, you’ll see that God is bigger than your problem! And this small struggle that you are facing now, will establish you for greater things ahead. Just as Goliath was there to establish David, a step for David to take for him to be the king of Israel.
There is nothing too hard for you because your God is with you! And the hard times you are facing today establishes you for the future!
hardtimes establishes you
I was just speaking to one of the leaders in church and he shared with me something so encouraging!
Most of the time we faces hard times…times we struggle to do the things we are supposed to do. And we wonder why. Alot of churches out there has the same encouragement for the members that felt dry, worn out and even struggling. I believe most of us know, that our breakthrough is just around the corner!!! Just a word of encouragement….press forward and dont give up! The darkness knows that the breakthrough is near, and you are going to rise higher than ever, that is why he’s trying to bring so many attacks against you so you’ll fail and fail to go higher to where you can go!
A few encouraging words I heard. One is about a woman, going to deliver…and as we all know, it’s hard, pushing, breath in breath out, push..it’s hard, and sometimes she feels like giving up but she knows she will not and she wont, she persist and finally the baby is born! Then joy overcomes all the previous struggles. Push on, persist till you get your breakthrough! And you’ll see a great thing is being born in you!

Another was about the resistance that an airplane faces when it is taking off. So hard, the resistance is so strong, and control of the ‘wheel’ needs to be right and perfect..but right after that moment of greatest resistance, the airplanes glides with the wind as it carries it higher into the clouds!

And be like the eagle, the bible says. The eagles flies through the dark and thunderous clouds and comes out the other side soaring higher than ever! It does not avoid the dark clouds but uses it to bring him higher when it comes out at the ther side. Isnt that great? Joyce Meyer had a series of sermon on flying like the eagles and I found this article by Joyce Meyer - Learning to Fly.

Isaiah 40:31 (Amplified Bible)
31But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
me week
gee…I tried to blog a few times this week but ended up deleting them. Some highlights - it snowed once, heavily…but it all melted away and dried up by the next day.
Also had a chance to listen to David Archuleta’s songs. I dont normally listen to songs other than worship songs. Not because I want to be superly set apart….but I just can’t find any good music since I arrived in this desserted land.
My friends were talking about it in the class, how nice this album is, so I asked them to send it to me, and it’s really nice. All the songs in the album is really nice…very deep and mature voice, despite his young age.
Next, watched a lot of movies this week. Some were good like Miss Potter, Taken and Quantum of Solace. The bad ones were like Witches Night and Max Payne. Witches Night and Max Payne…well I dont like the story line. Take Witches Night, the story line is really amazing, very intelligent but it’s ’sick’…you will need to watch it to understand what I mean. I would think the story is very inteligent but I totally do not agree with it. Max Payne….my personal opinion - not worth watching..very wierd storyline…
I tried to look up the poster for the movie Witches NIght - turns out it’s not the name of the movie, the movie was called Five Fingers. Yup, those of you that want a new perspective about terrorist and stuff like that, try watching this. Just be patience and watch till the end.

My favourite would be Quantum of Solace. The latest James Bond movie.

Of course, there are some more movies I would love to watch….the list will go on and on but for now, it’s Bolt and Twillight.
Bolt - the latest Disney 3D animation…really cute! “I eat danger for breakfast!” Cuttie! I so miss shoobie!
And Twilight, on of the most talked about movie! And during it’s opening, it received more than $75million making it one of the best selling movie for this year. Remember this poster that I found? I’ve yet to watch the movie.
Wolves
Son : I wanna be Wolverine the superhero. He’s so cool!
Father : Aha, I’ve got a story for you! In every person, there are 2 wolves and they
are constantly fighting!Wolf 1 : anger, jealousy, pride, condemnation, depression, low-self esteem,
lies, chaos, manipulation, lust, unforgiveness, superficial, fear,
you name it..anything’s negative
Wolf 2 : Peace, patience, love, hope, authentic, courage, purity, joy,
basically anything positive…Son : Wow, a battle!! Which one wins dad??
Father : Well, the one you FEED..
Wow, it’s such a simple illustration but yet carries such great revelation in it! I read it in one of my best friend’s blog. And God reminded me again of His great love for us, His creations.
In each one of us, there are 2 wolves. One is our flesh that carries all those anger, jealousy, pride, condemnation, depression, sin, etc….and another is the Spirit of God that is in us that is full of love, grace, patience, love, courage, joy. In the bible it says, that if you do not want to reap the corruption of the flesh, then walk in the Spirit. Walk in love, and in joy and peace.
If you do not want to be so nasty, full of anger, then do not feed it. Instead, learn to care and love, learn to forgive and be gracious.
Currently having Pediatric Sugery cycle.
Till next time,
great music & movie
Currently listening to Chris Tomlin’s God Almighty from Hello Love. I love the album. All the songs are so wonderful, great worship songs!
Also, currently is downloading…
Your Love Never Fails from Bethel Church’s Jesus Culture Music.

and Chris Tomlin’s See the Morning.

Any great worship album, please let me know, I would love to listen to it!
Btw, just did a very impromtu thingie…shall share about it next time. Also, I watched a very nice, heart-warming movie last night, Miss Potter. At first, I was thinking it’s a teen movie, who knows it turns out to be about Beatrix Potter, the author of best-selling children tales, one of it is Peter Rabbit.

Familiar? It sure does to me, when I first saw the drawing in the movie. It’s definately worth watching. Besides for the beautiful and breath-taking sceneries in Scottland and supposing London, I love the English spoken in the movie, it was…perfect!
Till next time….
